Flatbush/Ditmas Park Cat Sitter
Hello! My name is Misha and I’m a cat sitter in Brooklyn, where I’ve lived for a little over a year. In addition to Flatbush and Ditmas Park, I’m available for cat sitting in Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Kensington, and Park Slope.
During the day, I’m an editorial assistant for an academic publisher, working mostly on books about politics and forensic science. I moved to Brooklyn over a year ago, but I’m originally a Vermont native by way of North Carolina. I grew up with cats―Mac and Sandy, short for MacTavish and Sandra Dee. (What can I say? My family is unique.) We also had a very well-behaved black lab named Nevada, who I trained for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. During my time in North Carolina, I fostered cats for Independent Animal Rescue, including a very rotund calico named Angel, who believed that 2 AM was the perfect time to practice the can-can in her litter box and that she deserved to sleep, princess-like, on the pillow on my bed!
I have extensive experience caring for cats in others’ homes as well as my own, and very much look forward to spending time with your pets while you’re away. My goal is to make sure your cats are well-loved and cared for while you’re gone, so you can enjoy your trip knowing they’re safe and happy. I look forward to meeting you both!
