NYC dog walker also makes dog treats
A New York City dog walker and dog sitter has started his own dog treat company.
On any afternoon, Jack Walker can be seen in a T-shirt, jeans and shell-toe Adidas sneakers chatting with neighbors and walking a few furry friends around Fort Greene.
Mr. Walker, 65, who lives on Cumberland Street, spends his days as a dog walker and music composer. And soon he will unveil Papa Jack’s organic dog treats, with daughter April Walker.
Mr. Walker says the idea came after a weekend of dog sitting.
“The owner brought a home-made version of her dog food, which wasn’t very appetizing to the dog,” he said. “So I took the idea, got rid of some of the stu! she had included and decided to try and improve upon it.”
