Larry
Upper Manhattan Cat Sitting and Boarding
Hello―my name is Larry, and I am a lifelong lover and aficionado of cats! I have always had at least one as a companion ever since I was a toddler, all through high school and college, and during my years in New York. There is a picture of me at about one year old sitting on our very first cat, Tommy (he didn’t mind it at all). One of my most favorite little balls of mischief was Pip, who lived to be 23 years old―she was incredibly intelligent and, for her special grooming sessions, loved to have me vacuum her with a brush attachment.
I have been working with Katie’s Kitty since 2021 as a cat sitter and, as of 2023, am also boarding cats as well. One of the things I most enjoy about being a sitter/boarder is meeting such wonderful people who enjoy cats as much as I do and, of course, meeting all their feline companions. Each cat has such a distinct personality, and I feel I have a special talent in bonding with them, learning what they like and dislike, and bringing shy and reclusive cats out of their protective “shells.” I have a couple of clients who have told me that I would probably not see their cat when I came to visit them, but―through gentle persuasion, a soft and gentle voice, and the right toy―I’ve been able to coax them out of their little hiding places and come up to greet me.
I genuinely love what I do with Katie’s Kitty―meeting, spending time with, and caring for such delightful wee beasties… and interacting with their human “companions.”
